Sarah is a graduate student in the Developmental Psychology program. She received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience at the University of Maryland. Following graduation, she worked as a Project Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh Families, Emotions, Neuroscience, and Development (FEND) lab, developing and testing a novel fMRI task. Sarah’s research aims to investigate how adolescents process acceptance/rejection in social interactions in in-person and online contexts, how technology shapes adolescent identity, and how various social media behaviors may differentially impact youth’s emotional wellbeing. For fun, Sarah likes playing boardgames and tabletop games, hiking, and playing the saxophone.
