Peter Baxter (he/him) is a first-year graduate student in the Clinical and Quantitative Psychology programs working with Drs. Mitch Prinstein and Zachary Fisher. After receiving his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame, Peter worked as a college counselor, where he helped high school students and their families navigate the college application process. Peter then completed three postbac years at UC Berkeley, where he worked primarily with Drs. Aaron Fisher, Allison Harvey, and Hedy Kober. Peter is interested in developing new methods for measuring how humans’ AI use relates to psychological well-being, both at the momentary level and over time, with regard to constructs such as emotion and emotion regulation, relational attachment, risk tolerance, and anthropomorphism. Outside of work, Peter enjoys nature walks, pausing nature walks to smell flowers, and catching up with folks over coffee, boba, matcha, or kombucha.
