Jack Besser (he/him) is a first-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program working with Dr. Mitch Prinstein. Jack’s primary research interest is in the impact of social media on adolescents’ development, particularly in regards to boys’ engagement with masculinity influencers (the manosphere). He received his B.A. in Anthropology (Global Health) and Spanish in 2020 from Washington University in St. Louis and his M.A. in Clinical Psychology in 2026 from Teachers College, Columbia University. Prior to pursuing a career in psychology, he worked as a congressional press secretary, 3rd grade teacher, and college baseball coach. In his free time, he can be found on a baseball field, running, or trying out a new recipe.
